I want to thank all of you for your support and for those of you who
\ntook time to vote in the Section Manager election. I especially want to
\nthank Bob Craven for a well-contested race and thank him for his
\nenduring contributions to amateur radio, especially in Utah. I know Bob
\nwill continue to contribute in meaningful ways in the section.<\/p>\n
As your newly elected Section Manager, I will keep the promises I made
\nto you in my campaign platform. We are already growing amateur radio in
\nUtah. I’m happy to announce that we have a new Emergency Coordinator in
\nSevier County. Doug Preston, K7VVW, has volunteered to take on the reins
\nand I know we are going to see great things. We’ve never had an ARES
\ngroup in Sevier County. I’m glad we do now as I know the capabilities
\nARES will bring to that part of the state are badly needed.<\/p>\n
I look forward to traveling the section this coming Field Day and I’m always open to feedback from you. \nsection. It is your dues that allow us to make an impact in Utah. If you
